INSECTICIDES SPACE TREATMENT

LIQUID CONCENTRATES

Some concentrates are intended for dilution only with water, some only with oil (kerosene or diesel) and some concentrates can be diluted with either oil or water. Depending on the product formulation application of the diluted ready-for-use product can be made through hot or cold fogging device. As the name suggests such products are usually applied into the air at the time when the target insects, flies or mosquitoes, are most active. This may be during the day for flies or certain species of mosquito or at dusk for most biting insects (most mosquitoes, midges etc). there are many products available for use as space treatment agents. They differ specifically in regard to the nature and quantity of killing agent (potency), the quantity of additional knock-down agent (speed of control) and the levels of synergist present (durability of control in respect of actual or perceived insecticide tolerance).

Vulcan NP 200
Containing 30 g/l natural pyrethrins and 150 g/l of the metabolic synergist piperonyl butoxide.
A water-based EW which can be used as a ready-for-use product for application by ‘cold fog’ (Cold aerosol ULV) spraying equipment for the control of flying insects (including flies in animal facilities) or can be diluted with water and application via a standard compression sprayer for crawling insect control.

Cytrol XL
Containing 75 g/l cypermethrin and 50 g/l tetramethrin plus the metabolic synergist piperonyl butoxide
An ‘EC/UL’, for dilution in either kerosene (paraffin oil), commercial diesel oil or water and can be used for both hot (Thermal) fogging or cold fogging (Cold aerosol ULV). Offers more rapid action with greater potency than Cytrol Ultra.

Cytrol Ultra
Containing 50 g/l cypermethrin and 25 g/l tetramethrin plus the metabolic synergist piperonyl butoxide
This is an ‘EC/UL’, for dilution in either kerosene (paraffin oil), water or commercial diesel oil and can be used for both hot (Thermal) fogging or cold fogging (Cold aerosol ULV).

Cytrol Alpha Universal
Containing 25 g/l alpha-cypermethrin and 25 g/l tetramethrin plus the metabolic synergist piperonyl butoxide
This is an ‘EC/UL’, for dilution in either kerosene(paraffin oil), water or commercial diesel oil and can be used for both hot (Thermal) fogging or cold fogging (Cold aerosol ULV).

Cytrol Alpha 20/10
An EC/UL, for dilution in either oil or water, containing 20 g/l alpha-cypermethrin and 5 g/l tetramethrin plus the metabolic synergist piperonyl butoxide. This product can be used for both hot fogging or cold fogging.

READY TO USE

As the name suggests these require no further dilution and can be applied through the normal range of fogging and aerosoling equipment or through simple hand-held flit guns or sprayers.

Vulcan P RFU
Containing 0.25% w/w permethrin and 0.125% w/w tetramethrin plus the metabolic synergist piperonyl butoxide prepared as a solvent based formulation
This product is designed for application through a simple atomiser for the control of flies and other flying insects in a wide range of situations including farm buildings. This product offers a perfect balance of synergist to killing agent for optimal control. It is also extremely effective as a ready for use surface spray for the control of resting or crawling insect when applied through a standard compression sprayer
